Pesnik se je rodil 29. septembra leta 1928 v Šentjuriju pri Mirni Peči. Poleg pisateljevanja je bil Pavček zelo dejaven tudi na drugih področjih: novinar in urednik ter predsednik Društva slovenskih pisateljev. Bil je pogost gost številnih literarnih večerov, bralnih značk in različnih kulturnih srečanj, saj je bil izjemno priljubljen med ljudmi. V njegovi poeziji izstopa predvsem ljubezen do rodne Dolenjske.
Vljudno vabljeni na prireditev, ki bo 28. februarja 2012 ob 18. uri v Trdinovi čitalnici Knjižnice Mirana Jarca Novo mesto.
