The fifteenth unique artistic bench is the work of academic sculptor and restorer Vlasta Čobal Sedmak. It is named “Moment” and is located on the right bank of the Drava River in the center of Maribor. The bench is made of metal and concrete. The official unveiling took place on 7 June 2019.
Academic sculptor Vlasta Čobal Sedmak specializes in challenging conservation and restoration work, for which she has received a professional award from the Conservator-Restorers’ Society of Slovenia.
The story of the Bench
The bench is dedicated to the work of the Slovenian Hospice Society, which provides programs for accompanying the dying, supporting grieving children and adults after the loss of a loved one, and destigmatizing death. Its purpose is to convey the flow of life and to encourage greater compassion among people.
