Architect Max Fabiani and the chrysanthemum motif

Fourteen girls from Idrija lace school made it in just two days. The gift was handed over to the queen by one of the pupils dressed in the Slovene national costume. In 1923 Max Fabiani as vice president of the Office for the support of little craft designed the renovation of the patterns of the Royal lace school in Gorica and probably influenced very much the development of lacemaking in the Goriška region.
